I am 55 yrs old and for years I dyed my brown hair brown. I decided to stop when it got too hard to keep it a rich brown, all the fading was really getting old...ha! I would have to dye it in the middle of a vacation at the beach if I didn't wear my hat. (I can't wait till summer to go hatless again.)
So this last haircut got rid of 95% of my colored hair and the reaction to my new whiteness is hilarious.
Everyone comments, here are some of the fun ones!
1. You don't look old at all.
2. Did you get a haircut or something?
3. You look hot.(now that's funny!)
4. It looks so natural.
5. What did you do to your hair?
Those are just a few, really the funniest thing about it is when people just look at you and you can tell they are trying to figure it out. I work at the circulation desk at a library, so I see the same people every week, all my women friends are proud of me and love it . I love it too, it's really white around my face kind of like natural highlights now that I see how much I have no wonder it was such a struggle to keep looking good.
Now it can look good all on it's own...and I feel FREE!

You know how you have to defrag a pc every once in a while when it starts getting bogged down?
Do you ever have to do that to a Mac...and if you do, how do you do it?
It is probably a really dumb questions, but if I let that stop me from asking I wouldn't learn anything.

My first attempt at upholstery with fabric I had stashed for years...for Steph:) The 2nd photo is the chair before... an old cork bulletin board from my son's room turned into a cool toile board, the log cabin was my very first quilt ever, and the Leaf quilt is my homage to Autumn.

I am painting my kitchen from yellow to a beautiful moss green, my kids say that the rooms are getting smaller because I change the colors so much. Ha!
Such reward for a little work, paint totally changes a room. Then it is so much fun to look for new accessories. So far I have changed our den and bathroom these past few months.
Perfect day:
I had HGTV on in the kitchen while I was painting, my husband was taking off shelves that I am tired of in the newly painted bathroom, so there were hammering sounds and it is snowing outside. I felt so cozy and happy and thankful.
I am so blessed to have a house and I thank God for it often. So many people are losing their houses and jobs, it is just awful here in Michigan and the rest of the States as well. My son-in-law lost his job last week. Thankfully they are believers and so they know who their source is, and it certainly is not this world and its messed up economy.
