I am not one for new years resolutions and not much of a list maker but another post on here got me to thinking, so here are a few things I would like to accomplish this year:
1. Memorize more scripture. Here is my 1st: Psalm 119:11 Your word I have hidden in my heart that I might not sin against you.
2. Love husband unconditionally.
3. Clean out garage with said husband to be able to use more efficiently.
4. Take a knitting class as soon as I find one that doesn't always turn into a man bashing session for disillusioned married women.
5. Learn more crockpot recipes.
6. Be on time for work.
7. Stop being so nosy.
8. Learn more about my Mac to be able to use to full capacity.
9. Spend much less time watching TV.
10. Get more exercise.
We will see what happens. I try not to set too many goals, because I know God is in charge and He has a way of working things out for me in ways I would never dream of.
It's all good.

I don't think it is in print yet, but it should be a good read.
I heard someone call the election of Obama the celebritization of American Politics. The first wave of the MTV generation comes of voting age, what did we expect, really. The over sexualization of young people, corruption in politics and the business world, the soap opera of Illinois politics, Saturday Night Live elects Minnesota's next senator... It's like every bad reality show rolled into one. At the library I work at I sometimes step back and look at all the magazine covers each month, celebrating babies born out of wedlock, lesbian actresses getting married, movie stars setting the "moral" standards for so many young people.
Like sheep to the slaughter, really.
Thank God there is hope in Him.

Also the reason why if I could live anywhere it would be at the beach.
I am thankful, however for my Jeep with brand new tires and awesome 4 wheel drive. TUG.
My daughter is coming home for Christmas from Oklahoma today and I have to go get some food.

I found this in a blog, beach sand from over 100 beaches around the world. Neat way to display I think. I have 2 bottles of sand...I am on my way to 100 or more God willing!

I live in Michigan. People here are afraid. There is such a sense of uncertainty in the air it is palpable. Everyone is wondering what they should do to keep homes, jobs, food on the table. I wonder what lengths people would go to if they knew this world is not all there is?
Eternity is a LOT longer than this life we lead.
What plans have you made for that? Jesus as your personal savior is incomparable to the retirement package you put your hope in. He is far above any car company, financial institution, politician or anything else this world has for us to pin our hopes on. Don't put your trust in anything but God. He will never disappoint or let you down. Seek God and you will find Him. Now is the time, more than ever to get right with God. I pray you will.

I am a born again child of God, wife, mother, grandmother.
I love Jesus, I love my family and I love people.
My husband and I live in an empty nest. We met in high school and just celebrated our 36th wedding anniversary.
Our 4 children are 30, 28, 26 and 24. (girl, girl, boy, girl)
I have 4 grandchildren, twin boys that are 8, and two girls 6 and 7.
Children are a blessing from God and I am SO blessed!
I just made the switch from pc to mac... my MacBook is awesome, her name is Whitey.
I know how to quilt, just learned to knit and love to be creative.
I have a great desire to see people come to know Jesus and I pray this blog will help point the way.
